CRATE
This is the most effective tool for house breaking
and training your new puppy.
COLLAR AND I.D. TAGS
These will help your pet get home if he/she is lost.
POOPER-SCOOPER OR BAGS
Most areas require that you clean up after your pet.
FOOD
You always want to start your puppy on the same food
that he/she has been eating to avoid an upset stomach
and diarrhea. If you want to change your puppy's food,
do slow gradually over a week and slowly mix the new
food in with his/her old food.
BOWLS
Stainless steel bowls are the healthiest choice for
your new pet. They are easy to sterilize and cannot be
destroyed by your pet.
FLEECE PAD
These are great for inside the crate. They are easy
to wash and are a much better choice than a bed in the
crate when you are training them.
STAIN AND ODOR REMOVER
It is important to remove the scent from the carpet
when your puppy has had an accident otherwise he will
want to go back to the same place.
BRUSH
Brushing will help climate the hair that you find all
over the house. Regular brushing also helps prevent mats
and tangles that can result in having to have your pet
shaved.
NAIL CLIPPERS
You will need to keep the nails trimmed or the puppy
will get them stuck in the carpet. When this happens
either the carpet will tear or your puppy will tear
his/her nail.
SHAMPOO
Tearless puppy shampoos are a great way to keep your
pup smelling good.
KONG TOY
This is a great toy to keep your pup occupied for
hours. You can put some peanut butter, canned dog food,
or a treat inside the toy. You can freeze the Kong with
treats inside to keep the puppy busy for longer.
BISCUITS
You want to reward your pup when he/she is good. You
can do this with praise and treats.
ROPE BONE
These are great for teething. You can soak this bone
in water and freeze; it will give him/her something soft
and cool to chew on.
FRONTLINE
This is the best flea and tick preventive on the
market. You apply it once a month and don't have to
worry about it.
BED
A place to sleep when your puppy is not in his/her
crate.
